Turned somethin' in

This group of student's sadly left out a lot and didn't give me the work I know they are capable of. Sadly I couldn't give them any other grade especially when their fellow class mates had worked so hard on their assignments. The Point of the assignment was to bring in color and your own work. I would have been okay if they had at least tried to color in their pictures or come to us for help on their paragraphs. Sadly whats done is done and in this case it can't be undone.

.

Approaching Proficiency

Here's to the people who passed with a C even though they may have forgotten a thing or two. Even so they worked really hard and proved that they tried their best to make something to represent what they have learned in history during the year.

Proficient and Strong

While others just sit their staring at a wall these kids are working hard to make sure they have everything they need for that good grade. These kids worked to create some cool projects they are Proficient and Strong.

The AE group

Here are the projects that went the extra mile for a great grade. Their work showed that they really tried and their paragraphs weren't to bad either. They showed that hard work really does pay of lets here it for the AE group.

The results are in and here are the winners of the E award for my history art project.

These students not only created extraordinary work but also showed how hard they worked on their projects in class and used their time wisely. Great job guys I am so proud XD.

Extra Assignment for my students

So my mentor is letting me introduce my own second learning activity to her two classes for history so I can use their finished products for decorations for my 2 hour presentation.
I am planing on having them draw a small poster that represents something they learned along with a paragraph at least 5 sentences describing why they drew what they did and what they liked about it. So I will be posting more on that over the next few days.

Blog 25: Mentorship

    Literal
Mentor: Heidi Clauss htcme1@gmail.com (only allowed to post her email on the internet)
    Interpretive
This experience as given me an in depth look at what it takes to educate today's children. I have been able to help students gain a better understanding of the different core subjects they need to know and in a way they truly enjoy. Because of all this I have gained a better understanding of my senior topic and have found an answer for my essential question. This is important to me because, it has been a great help in answering my essential question and in my future job occupation. (Opening my own career camp to help students starting from middle school going to high school take what they like and find careers where they can either integrate or use what they like to make a living in their future. )

My essential question is “What is the best way to use art as a teaching tool in middle school?” By working in a middle school setting I was able to see all the different factors that could change the effectiveness of art integrated activities giving me the ability to better answer my essential question.
